School Transport / Free School Transport
Access to school transport is the responsibility of your residing local authority. Anyone may qualify for free school transport to secondary school if your child:
- is under 11 years of age and resides over two miles from the nearest appropriate school
- is of statutory school age, over 11 and resides over three miles from the nearest appropriate school
If your child isn't entitled to free home to school transport they may still be able to travel using the concessionary school travel scheme.
